That is correct, the deadline for resigning/extensions is the Super Bowl.
If he happens to sign before that, u can change it

The Denver Broncos will be tagging Arian Foster (HOU-RB) pending he doesnt sign an extension from now until the Super Bowl in which I will be doing my happy dance

Just FYI, but I think we should think about changing that deadline due to the fact that teams that make the playoffs, and especially get to the super bowl aren't going to be thinking about resigning players before then whereas teams that haven't made the playoffs are preparing for next year...just a thought.

I agree, the date should be closer to when free agency starts in the NFL, like March?

i dont know about that much of an extension, but it is unfair for teams who have potential FA's on playoff teams....thats all im saying. Maybe a week or two after the super bowl?

So are we pushing the FA signing back 2 or 3 weeks guys, this decision is hampering trading, and trading cannot even go through yet. Can we get a decision?

We will not push back the date if anything for next year not this year though...to close to the date IMO
