IMO, this trade is the same thing if not less for ben. Powell & a 3rd don't value highly and cancel out Jackson's value as a backup qb That leaves ben for a an aging lb & 1 1st (and we discussed the lack of guarantee a starting qb at that pick) and I don't see that as fair and even for a qb at that level

Dude...there is plenty of time to get a QB. There are teams that may have an extra depending how FA.shapes up. There are 3 or 4 potential QBs in this draft depending on draft depending on how things fall in real NFL. Rhis trade gives me a possibility to trade up farther or take a top WR or RB in the draft which I also need. Plus gives me a sstrong LB ...this trade helps me. Jackson is in competition for starter as is flynn...no guarantee which geys the job at this point..only assumptions. Let me play the draft and offseason my way and build my team. When we ger to 3rd preseason game...if I dont have a QB...ill worry...
