DFL Rankings (Week 3)
1) Broncos (2-0)
Previous Week (2)
– Division rival Cowboys is ownerless now and has injuries all over. Not to mention Broncos gets LeVeon Bell back this week – Look for the Broncos to stay here possibly all season at #1!!
Prediction this week: Broncos over Cowboys
2) Ravens (1-1)
Previous Week (1)
– I can’t even remember the last time the Ravens lost, I do know it was some time in 2013 – so it has been some time!! I don’t think anyone saw the Patriots taking the defending champs down. The injuries are really starting to pill up for the Ravens team. This week the Ravens gets a tough test against the Packers who are looking to rebound from last week as well. Should be a great matchup!!
Prediction this week: Packers over Ravens (UPSET)
3) Redskins (2-0)
Previous Week (4)
– Let me first thank the fantasy football gods for telling me to pickup Marcus Peters and start him last week!! I was fortunate Hill and Lynch didn’t have their beastly type games to be able to overcome the Packers. This week I face a very hot team in the Patriots – and with the REAL Patriots playing the Jaguars I think I’m in for my first loss of the season. It will be to much Brady, Gronk, and Lewis to pull out the win.
Prediction this week: Patriots over the Redskins (UPSET and GAME of the WEEK)
4) Packers (1-1)
Previous Week (3)
– Talk about a bad week for the Packers 3 offensive players to put up duds. Lynch, Hill, and Allen combined for 8.9 points, don’t think that will ever happen again. Look for the Packers to get his players to wake up this week and pull off the upset in beating an injured Ravens team.
Prediction this week: Packers over Ravens (UPSET)
5) Patriots (2-0)
Previous Week (9)
– I don’t think anyone in the league saw the Patriots beating the defending champs. Brady, Lewis, and Gronk are tearing up the league. And I don’t see them slowing down either this week. Look for another move up in the ranking for the hot Patriots team. Also must say Dion Lewis is the pick up of the year for the DFL this year.
Prediction this week: Patriots over Redskins (UPSET and GAME of the WEEK)
6) Texans (2-0)
Previous Week (6)
– The Texans are putting up some very consistent numbers lately and that is with out DeMarco Murray really doing not much. The Texans are winning by large parts to solid play from his defense. This week they play a team that has moved up the rankings in the Titans, but sadly the Titans will be shorthanded with an injured Drew Brees. With no QB it is very hard to win in this league.
Prediction this week: Texans over Titans
7) Lions (2-0)
Previous Week (5)
–The Lions won last week but move down in the rankings with a week showing from his team. Look for the Lions offense to rebound this week against the Jets team. I see the Lions being consistent on Defense, but it’s up to the Offense being up to the task to keep up with the big dogs.
Prediction this week: Lions over Jets
8) Bengals (2-0)
Previous Week (8)
– Bengals had a solid win against the Panthers team who looked like a contender again. The Bengals just did a nice trade upgrading their RB position in getting Letavious Murray. Edelman has proven to be very solid for this Bengals team. Look for the streak to continue and pull out the W against the Steelers team
Prediction this week: Bengals over Steelers
9) Giants (1-1)
Previous Week (7)
– The Giants got the win over the Jaguars, but it was a very close one. The fall drop off from #7 is mainly the performances of the teams listed ahead. Look for the Giants to start creeping back in to the Top 5 however with the long awaited debut of Todd Gurley (DFL #1 Rookie Pick). Look for the Giants to barely edge the Saints this week.
Prediction this week: Giants over Saints
10) Raiders (1-1)
Previous Week (10)
- Raiders stays in the top 10 with a convincing win against the Jets. With many trades this week to shake up their squad look for the W’s to keep on coming against a Chiefs team that is still trying to find its groove. Look for Hyde to get back where he was in week 1 and Tannehill to look like the player he was talked about all offseason.
Prediction this week: Raiders over Chiefs
11) Titans (2-0)
Previous Week (18)
– Big jump to #11 from #18 for the Titans showing convincingly it can run with the big boys with no RB. Now they have a solid RB in Doug Martin after trading away Levy (who hasn’t played yet this year). But then the Titans get news their star QB will be unable to play this week in an important matchup against the Texans. Sadly with no QB don’t think they can pull off the upset.
Prediction this week: Texans over Titans
12) Buccaneers (2-0)
Previous Week (13)
– Look at the streaking Buccaneers!!! I don’t think the Bucs team has ever had 2 wins in a row of the existence of the DFL!! On paper I see the Bucs winning this week, and do think the Panthers will put up a very good fight. If AP looks like AP of 2013 it could be an upset and a Panthers win, but for now I’ll go with the Bucs.
Prediction this week: Buccaneers over Panthers
13) Cardinals (2-0)
Previous Week (14)
– All I do is WIN WIN, is the Cardinals motto this year. Their offense is really looking good lead by Carson Palmer. Look for the Cards to put up win number 3 this week and take care of division rival Falcons.
Prediction this week: Cardinals over Falcons
14) Jaguars (0-2)
Previous Week (12)
– The Jaguars are doing a great job at putting up points, each week easily getting over 100 + points. Look for this week to get them their first “W”. The Eagles will be no easy walk over but the Jaguars has put together a solid team.
Prediction this week: Jaguars over Eagles
15) Saints (1-1)
Previous Week (15)
- The Saints got their first win of the season, and look to ride their hot streak against division rival Giants. With Coleman out, it definitely improves the Saints outlook to pull off the upset, but believe the youth and defense of the Giants will sneak out the win.
Prediction this week: Giants over Saints
16) Vikings (0-2)
Previous Week (11)
– The Vikings team on paper looks like they should easily be in the top 10 team but players like Andrew Luck and Mike Evans haven’t produced like they should have quite yet. This week they are up against a colts team that will be without Jay Cutler and like I said with the Titans having a QB is very key for competing weekly.
Prediction this week: Vikings over Colts
17) Eagles (0-2)
Previous Week (20)
– Eagles gave the Saints a very close game but came up short last week. Mariota didn’t have his magical week like he did week 1. However he could have come out with the win if he would have started Matt Jones and Travis Benjamin. This week he is going up against a really good Jaguars team that is also looking for their first win. I think it will be a close one but think the Jaguars sneak out with the win in this one.
Prediction this week: Jaguars over Eagles
18) Falcons (0-2)
Previous Week (16)
– The Falcons found themselves up against a very tough Broncos squad last week, and this week they are up against division rival Cardinals. Losing Romo is never a good thing but the Falcons were quick on the waiver speed dial in getting Tyrod Taylor who is having an outstanding season so far. I’m taking the favorite still in this one, but always enjoy being proven wrong.
Prediction this week: Cardinals over Falcons
19) Panthers (0-2)
Previous Week (22)
– Panthers surprised a lot of owners last week giving the Bengals a little run for their money. It is always nice when you have the true AP show up. The Panthers defense is still what is holding them back. Still not seeing much work on the waiver wire from their end. However I do see this game coming down to the wire as well, but eventually see the Buccaneers coming out the victors.
Prediction this week: Buccaneers over Panthers
20) Steelers (0-2)
Previous Week (19)
– The Steelers just barely came up short last week, ala Titans years back in the Super Bowl being 1 yard short from a Super Bowl victory. The Steelers I’m seeing improvement each week, but this week they face a daunty task against a very powerful Bengals squad. Look for the Steelers to not back down from the challenge but in the end I see the Bengals taking this weeks matachup.
Prediction this week: Bengals over Steelers
21) Cowboys (0-2)
Previous Week (17)
- As we all know the Cowboys are a powerful team and will be lucky to be owned by a new owner next season with the talent they possess. Until then they have fallen very far in the rankings, injuries can really derail a team. Same story this week as they face #1 seed Broncos, Broncos should win in a landslide.
Prediction this week: Broncos over Cowboys
22) Colts (1-1)
Previous Week (23)
– The Texans looked very powerful against a Colts team that is very young and also Cutler getting hurt didn’t help either. This week they are up against the Vikings who are in win or I’m in trouble mode. But what hurts the Colts the most is having no QB. Look for the Vikings to walk away winners in this matchup.
Prediction this week: Vikings over Colts
23) Chiefs (0-2)
Previous Week (21)
– Last week we saw more struggles again from the Chiefs reliant players in CJA and CJ. This isn’t a good recipe for winning games. However if we see the CJA of last year this week, we could be looking at a major upset against the Raiders team ranked #10 in the DFL. That is the key if CJA has a 2 or 3 TD performance we could see an upset. But I find it hard to see it.
Prediction this week: Raiders over Chiefs
24) Jets (0-2)
Previous Week (24)
– The Jets are back at #24 for the 3rd week in a row. How can they break that streak? Beat the Lions. JETS – JETS – JETS!!!! Let’s see if they get motivated from the real JETS taking to the real COLTS in the NFL from last Monday Night. If Big Ben can have his way and other pieces like Khalil Mack can get some sacks could be in store for a closer game then we thought. Side note, START YOUR KICKER JETS, he won’t give you points on your BENCH.
Prediction this week: Lions over Jets
