DFL Rankings (Week 6)
1) Ravens (4-1)
Previous Week (2)
-Welcome back to the top again Ravens. It has been an injury type of season this year with Kuechly, Burnett, and Alsonso to name a few, but Dave always finds a way to pull “W’s” out. It helps with great depth at most of his positions. But whenever you can win and put up 100+ points without your QB (on a bye) that always is a plus. This week should be an easy win with the ownerless Cowboys.
Prediction this week: Ravens over Cowboys
2) Titans (5-0)
Previous Week (3)
-The Titans keep on proving doubters wrong. I can’t believe I had them ranked at #20 to begin the season. The Titans are a team you don’t want to face. They have one of the top defenses in the league and that is with losing Ogletree for most of the year. This week they face a hungry Jaguars team and the Titans will be without star RB Doug Martin. Still see the Titans defense helping them to a win this week.
Prediction this week: Titans over Jaguars
3) Redskins (4-1)
Previous Week (4)
-After a trade that will go down in the books as “What were you thinking.” It actually helped the Redskins pull out the victory with stud RB Le’Veon Bell. Wilson hasn’t been the same as he was last year, here’s to hoping that changes soon. The Redskins defense took a huge loss after losing Bowman, Mosley and Matthews in trades. If the defense can’t stay consistent all year could be doom for the Redskins this season. This week welcome to the Brother bowl (Jake vs Trav). Should be a good matchup but see my offense overpowering the Bucs in the end.
Prediction this week: Redskins over Buccaneers
4) Saints (4-1)
Previous Week (8)
-Who saw this coming? Devonte Freeman the #1 player in fantasy!!! Crazy how the football gods work. Also Andy Dalton has been a huge asset as well. In addition the Saints took out division rival Patriots, which I don’t know when the last time that was. They are really looking good, and each week seem to be getting stronger and stronger. This week they face the Lions, which is the GAME of the WEEK. I know I do my write-up after Thursday Nights game and seeing Freeman go off again, pushed me in favor of the Saints this week.
Prediction this week: Saints over Lions (GAME of the WEEK)
5) Packers (3-2)
Previous Week (6)
-Last week the Jaguars gave the Packers team a real scare, but they were able to pull it out in the end. Jeremy Hill has been a huge disappointment this year, even with his one great week of 3 TD’s he still only managed 30+ yards rushing, hopefully he is able to turn it around soon. This week the Pack attack face DFL friend the Falcons. The Falcons put up some solid points from players on Thursday Night, but with other matchups and Lynch supposed to be back, I favor the Packers in this contest.
Prediction this week: Packers over Falcons
6) Broncos (4-1)
Previous Week (1)
-Why the fall? There are a few things. First is the loss of Jamaal Charles, huge loss there. Secondly, is Stafford is really having some aweful games. It is never a good thing when you get benched in a game. However, after the big mega trade with the Redskins the Broncos probably boast the best Defense in the league. It also doesn’t hurt that they still have the best WR and a decent RB to replace Charles in Ingram. Last week they managed 78 points which by Broncos standards is not good! Look for them to rebound this week against the Cardinals, but be aware Stafford needs to step up for them to move up the rankings or have his Defense make up the difference.

7) Patriots (3-2)
Previous Week (5)
-The Patriots lost last week I think for the first time ever against a much improved Saints squad. Look for the Patriots to take out their frustration on a rebuilding Colts squad. Side note, funny how the Colts and Patriots are really playing each other in the real NFL.
Prediction this week: Patriots over Colts
8) Bengals (3-2)
Previous Week (13)
-I don’t think Chief appreciated me taking the Broncos over his squad last week. He really took it to them, and proved once again that his Bengals belong in the top 10. The Bengals had the 2nd most points scored in week 5, and look to carry that scoring total against a Jets team that really isn’t looking to make many changes. With losses to other teams ahead of the Bengals look for them to creep up further next week.
Prediction this week: Bengals over Jets
9) Texans (3-2)
Previous Week (7)
-Well it had to be one of those weeks. I’m sure we will all see one of those. That is what makes fantasy football enjoyable. The HUGE underdog Chiefs pulled off the upset against the Texans!! After solid games from Kaep, Wagner and Buchanan the Chiefs had to one up them. The Texans will look to get back on track against a Panthers team that will have a rested AP back. I’m calling an upset with some of the matchups that players have on each squad. Should be a very fun one to follow.

10) Lions (4-1)
Previous Week (10)
-Thank goodness for an off week for the Lions as they faced a rebuilding Colts team. The Lions has looked a little flat past few weeks, it will be nice having Brandon Marshall back but what will be key is if Rivers can have a great game. This is my game of the week as it will come down to the wire on who wins this contest. Again after seeing Freemans game putting the edge to the Saints.

11) Cardinals (4-1)
Previous Week (12)
-The Cardinals had quite the game last week squeaking by the Buccaneers team by less than 5 points. This week it sounds like Shady McCoy should be back in as well as having Chris Ivory back from a bye. However they are facing a very upset Broncos squad and they are looking for a kill on their next opponent. Should be close however see the Broncos pulling away with the Win.

12) Buccaneers (3-2)
Previous Week (11)
-Shoulda-woulda-coulda is the Bucs motto. What if they would have started this player? Should I have traded this guy? Could I have won the game? Very close game but in the end got the Loss. Sorry bro (literally), this week you face your younger brother the Redskins. I’m sure there will be texts back and forth smack talking this one, but in the end see the Redskins offense overcoming the Bucs in this one. However, if OBJ is not active for Monday night it will be an upset I believe in Bucs favor.
Prediction this week: Redskins over Buccaneers
13) Raiders (3-2)
Previous Week (9)
-Oh so close!! The Raiders came very close to beating the undefeated Titans squad. Let’s see if Tannahill comes out of the bye a rejuvenated player and ready to lead the Raiders squad into victory. Luckily the Giants have some key players on bye’s this week and should help the Raiders prevail and win this week.
Prediction this week: Raiders over Giants
14) Giants (1-4)
Previous Week (16)
-The Giants almost had the win last week with no QB against the Redskins. However, with Perryman having not quite taken over yet for Butler it was a loss in the end. This week the Giants are shorthanded again with star RB Gurley on a bye. If Green and Eifert can have great games we could have an upset here. However seeing what holes the Giants have in other areas is hard to pick them in this one.
Prediction this week: Raiders over Giants
15) Panthers (2-3)
Previous Week (17)
-The Panthers are just picking up steam and after a very impressive victory against division rival Falcons. They shift their momentum to top 10 team Texans. Like I stated before AP is coming back from a bye hungry for TD’s and also should have DeSean Jackson back and ready for playing again as well. Look for this contest to be a dog fight but in the end see the Panthers pulling off the upset.

16) Falcons (2-3)
Previous Week (14)
-The Falcons really needed that game last week. Like I stated at the beginning of the season the NFC West will be a fun division to follow there is no one weak link in that division they are all pretty much on equal ground as we have seen their matchup’s playout through the season. It will depend on their games outside the division if they can get some W’s. This week is not the week to play a top 5 team. The Falcons have put together a strong team this week, but will fall just short in pulling off the upset.
Prediction this week: Packers over Falcons
17) Jaguars (1-4)
Previous Week (15)
-Well we can’t all be like the Saints, almost pulling off the huge upset against division rival Packers, the Jaguars should still hold their head up high from the game, and they put up a good fight. It was nice finally seeing Lavonte David have a productive game. However, this week he will be on a bye and having a banged up Shazier doesn’t help either. With how the Titans are rolling it will be hard to overcome this matchup, but the Jaguars are a fighting bunch and will give their all to see if they can pull off the upset.

18) Chiefs (1-4)
Previous Week (21)
-Do you believe in Miracles? I do, the Chiefs sure shocked the DFL last week in taking down the powerful Texans. At the same time scoring the most points in week 5!! That means it wouldn’t have mattered who they played they would have beaten any team from the top 10!!! Very impressive!! Look for the Chiefs to carry that momentum this week against a stingy Eagles team looking for their first win!
Prediction this week: Chiefs over Eagles
19) Steelers (2-3)
Previous Week (19)
-The Steelers had a really good game last week putting up 124 points, and taking it to the cowboys. It helps that their offense was very balanced and Telvin Smith really racked up some points. This week they look to take on the Vikings who seem to not be able to find their groove. However, if Luck looks anything like he did last year in this game look for the table to turn. But I’m going with what I have seen so far and will go with a Steelers victory from here.

20) Vikings (2-3)
Previous Week (18)
-The Vikings got a win last week without Andrew Luck and also by scoring 68 points. If you are going to win games that way don’t count on it every week to be that easy. If the Luck can stay protected from his offensive line (or if he even plays for that matter) it could be a different story. Early reports do suggest Yeldon might not be able to play this week, so that could hurt them as well. I’ll take the Steelers in this one with all the question marks for the Vikings squad.

21) Colts (2-3)
Previous Week (20)
-I really like what the Colts have been doing trying to slowly improve their team. They were able to win the stakes of West from the waivers this week, it will be interesting to see how well he does with Charles out. However this week they are up against a very powerful Patriots squad, hopefully they can put up a bigger fight then what it looks like on paper.

22) Eagles (0-5)
Previous Week (22)
-Last week the Eagles played the top dog in the league and came up short. This week they gear up for what should be a very entertaining game against the Chiefs. I see this one coming down to less then 10 points maybe even 5 will be the difference. However the Chiefs just got some big confidence in some of their players. If Mariota can have a game like he did in week 1 it could turn the tables. Should be a fun one to follow here.

23) Cowboys (0-5)

-Don’t need to write much here as the Cowboys are ownerless, and will be beaten down by the Ravens. THE END

-Jets, Jets, Jets. Again my friend, you have had many opportunities to improve your team but have fallen short of doing so, you don’t use the waivers and don’t engage in any trade talks. You have some good pieces my friend utilize them. You have a top 3 waiver pick use it. If we see no action in trying to win each week, us as STAFF will have to review if you should remain in the league. Please try putting in more of an effort. PLEASE start your KICKER!!
