Off-Season Free Agency Timeline
-After the completion of both Off-Season drafts (Free Agent/Rookie) the staff will take a reasonable amount of time to update rosters/salaries accordingly before Free Agency opens for the league year
-When ready, the commissioner will announce a date at which Off-Season Free Agency Bidding will begin league wise
-The start date will differ from year to year, depending on length of both Off-Season drafts and the process of updating rosters
-Off-Season Free Agent Bidding will run from initial opening in the summer until 11:59pm EST, on the Tuesday night of Week 1
-After this deadline, the In-Season Waivers process is in place for the remainder of the season
Off-Season Free Agency Process/Rules
-Must follow proper posting format to be valid
(Subject: POSITION Player Name (Team) ex. QB Tom Brady (NE)
Body of post: the amount of the bid ex. $0.5)
-You MUST have roster space free AND available cap space of at least $0.5 (if it's the opening bid) in order to open a bid
*Drops made after a bid is placed to make room for a bid will make the bid invalid & drop remains
-1st rd of bidding lasts for 24 hours, in which any eligible teams can enter bidding
NOTE: 1st round bids can only go up $0.5,
*Teams can only bid once during the 1st rd
*If you make an invalid bid (not enough cap space or not enough roster spots), you are eliminated from bidding on said player
-After the (1st round) 24 hours are up, any teams still in the bidding may begin bidding any desired salary they wish, within their available cap space
-Teams that fail to bid in time OR drop from bidding (announcing "I'm out") within 24 hrs of 2nd rd starting are no longer in the bidding
-After each bid in 2nd rd, the 24 hr click resets with each valid bid until other owners don't respond or drop out of the bidding.
