DFL 2018 New Rules & Offseason Timeline:
New Rules: 1) DFL Salary Cap increasing from $75 to $80, starting this season (2018) 2) In-Season drops must be submitted by 11:59pm est on Monday nights to count for that week. Anything after that time will go towards the following week 3) In-Season drop cap penalties are changing as well to the following; *Week 1-2: 100% of players salary *Week 3-4: 75% of players salary *Week 5-DFL Super Bowl: 50% of players salary
Offseason Timeline: 1) Complete owners return poll, determine if any owners need to replaced 2) Recruit potential new owners; Have (potential) new owners submit applications to be reviewed to takeover open existing teams -deadline: Sunday, February 4 (Super Bowl Sunday)
3) Have current (and eligible) owners submit applications for "relocation" -opens: Sunday, January 28 -deadline: Sunday, February 11 @ 11:59pm est
4) Open up time for owners to bring up topics for Owners Meetings -open until February TBD
5) Conduct Owners Meetings (if any) -to begin Monday, February 12 -end Monday, February 19 6) New owners decided for any potential open teams - Sunday, February 11
7) Relocation decisions announced -Sunday, February 18
8) Trading opens -Friday, February 23 9) 2018 Franchise Tags -opens: Saturday, March 10 -deadline: Saturday, March 24 @ 11:59pm est
10) Free Agent (FA) Draft starts -Saturday, April 7 @ 12pm EST
11) Rookie Draft starts -roughly beginning of May (like 2017) 12) Off-Season Free Agency Bidding -Opens 12am EST, Wednesday June 13, 12am EST

Update:
The IR designation to return rule failed to pass with a majority vote (received 11 of needed 13), thus it will not be added
Also, DFL Trade for reviews will be open starting this Friday, February 23.

Off-Season Free Agency Timeline
-After the completion of both Off-Season drafts (Free Agent/Rookie) the staff will take a reasonable amount of time to update rosters/salaries accordingly before Free Agency opens for the league year -When ready, the commissioner will announce a date at which Off-Season Free Agency Bidding will begin league wise -The start date will differ from year to year, depending on length of both Off-Season drafts and the process of updating rosters
-Off-Season Free Agent Bidding will run from initial opening in the summer until 11:59pm EST, on the Tuesday night of Week 1 -After this deadline, the In-Season Waivers process is in place for the remainder of the season
