From the Desk of the Commissioner
DFL 2019 Staff Announcement, New Rules & Offseason Timeline:
DFL Staff Announcement: Travis (Washington) has informed myself & Eric that he no longer has the available time to fulfill the roster updating DFL Staff duties he had the last few seasons (a vital position for sure). The duties he has handled for the DFL have included:
-Updating Proboards rosters (players w/ salaries, picks, team salary caps) following trades
-Updating Fantrax rosters (players, picks) following trades
-Communicated via text with fellow Staff to bring up ideas, issues, etc league wide
-Updating Draft boards during FA Draft
-Updating Rosters with FA picks, salaries as draft goes on to avoid teams going over cap
-Update Proboards rosters with rookies following completion of Rookie Draft on Fantrax
-Monitor trades during drafts to update who owns picks to ensure correct team
Travis will however remain on in his Trade Committee role going forward.
As will be seen in timeline, there’s time slotted in to figure out the Staff openings before anything else. I will be formulating an application for interested owners to fill out and PM the “DFL Commissioner” account for review. If you have questions regarding what Travis has done or what his positions involve, feel free to PM him since he’d be best source to answer it
There will be openings for:
Trade Coordinator
Draft Coordinator
New Rules:
-1) Any QB on DFL active roster promoted to starter, unless he’s your regular starting QBs backup, (as long term starter for injury or benching) will receive the $10 cap hit, treated the same as adding a QB via waivers, trading for a QB or promoting a QB from your Practice Squad (PS)
-2) Any team going into week (starting Tuesday) over the roster will automatically lose matchup for that week, regular season or playoffs. Teams over the salary cap will still have til the weekly trade deadline for Thursday night games of 8pm Tuesday (12pm Tuesday for Thanksgiving week).
-3) No trading of players back and forth between teams, for any reason, especially Franchise Tags
*This offseason, we will be realigning divisions. Realigning will be conducted by Staff (Myself, Eric, Travis & the new trade coordinator) sometime after the new Trade Coordinator has been appointed
